On a Fall 2021 tour of the Pacific Northwest, my wife Bev and I stayed at Suncadia Lodge near Cle Elum. I almost despise admitting this, but you are looking at the view from our room. It was an impressive local view overlooking the golf course and a small lake. During the evening, geese would move in and out of the scene. An occasional golfer would lose a ball in the lake. It was somewhat idyllic, but I just could not get excited over the images I captured that evening. Fast forward to the following morning. A light fog had entered the area. I was up just before sunrise. I must have fired off a hundred images trying to capture a "feeling" in the early morning light. Then, this magic moment you see here began to happen. I could not believe my luck. You know what photographers say about being in the "right moment at the right time, with the right equipment, and photographic skill." I changed lenses and shot away. I changed lenses again, zoomed in and out, moved camera position, and captured some more. "Suncadia Magic" is the best of the best. I chose it for its exciting imagery and a feeling that struck me deeply
