Leaving the Headland
During a recent cruise on the Mediterranean, I did have the opportunity to notice how the spectacular early morning light spoke to me.

I would generally rise just before dawn to see what the morning would present. It was quite dark when I arrived at the stern of the ship. No one was around except for an early morning walker pacing the deck. As the light began to amplify the early morning mix of watercolor blues and golden tones, I trained my camera on the activity of the stern wake. What I noticed most was the golden veil of color emerging from the left side of the frame. It was definitely a magical moment at sea. These are the type of images that offer me an abundance of joy. A quote by Gregg Anderson comes to mind: “Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.”
