We take great pride in knowing that over 8,000 finely crafted photographs have been produced and sold over the last 22 years.
Currently, all of Mark Bergsma's images are printed using an Epson 10000 printer using ARCHIVAL PIGMENT BASED INK. Only high quality fine art acid free art paper or art canvas specifically designed for use with ARCHIVAL PIGMENT BASED INK are used for producing our fine art images. Official testing by Whilhem Research Inc. would indicate that one could reasonably expect these ARCHIVAL PIGMENT BASED INK images to last at least 200 years before noticeable fading would occur if displayed under glass in "normal room light conditions".
Please keep in mind that fading is a cumulative event and will take place more rapidly under bright light sources. For superior life avoid direct sunlight and other bright light sources high in the ultraviolet end of the light spectrum. Also if you use a "museum glass or acrylic that filters out 98% of the UV light" in framing you can also expect the life of your print to be dramatically increased.
You may purchase the print only. If you choose to have us mat and frame our fine art images, only the finest acid free museum and rag mat boards are used as a compliment to the framing process. The matted pieces are generally finished in a standard metal frame stock. Other beautiful metal frames as well as wood are available at the Mark Bergsma Gallery.
