For Northwest Photographer, Mark Bergsma, the pursuit of "Fine Art Color Photography" all began in 1979 when his interest in photography was renewed with the acquisition of a new Canon AE-1. This instant gratification of making images with a camera kindled illusions of grandeur that he would be the next Ansel Adams, John Sexton, or someone of that stature. Passion and persistent pursuit of artistically rendered landscapes led Mark to new equipment purchases and art shows. Mark Bergsma now features his work at the Mark Bergsma Gallery in Bellingham, Washington.
From capture to print, Mark creates images with the grace of an artist and the skills of a technician. Some even say these landscape images look more like paintings than photographs.
